Olympics boxer Lovlina Borgohain claims mental harassment

Olympic bronze medallist boxer Lovlina Borgohain has blamed authorities of mental harassment, claiming that one of her coaches has been refused entry to the Commonwealth Games village in Birmingham while the other one has been sent back to India.

Borgohain shared details of the alleged injustice on Twitter saying that it has impacted her training for the Commonwealth Games 2022.

Lovlina will be representing the nation in the 70Kg category at the CWG, which will begin from 28th July, 2022.

She stated that this is happening to her in spite of a lot of requests she has made to stop this and it has caused her a lot of mental harassment.

Last year at Tokyo Olympics 2020, Borgohain secured a bronze medal in the women’s welterweight category (64-69 kg).
